Fine and Exceedingly Rare Halberd With Two Wheellock Pistols.

The head is etched with strap-work ornament and medallion portraits of soldiers wearing helmets, the barrels, lock-plates and socket similarly decorated,
mounted on its original haft in two pieces, joined with a collar etched en-suite.

South German, late 16th century.

Condition:
Retains nearly all of the original blackened background, one of the finest examples of its type known in or out of museums.

Provenance:
